Le mostre di Lucio Diodati si presentano sempre come singoli capitoli di un lungo racconto ideale.

I diversi pezzi che compongono le sue mostre, non sono che passaggi narrativi di un unico tema: la rappresentazione della figura femminile. 

In un suggestivo palcoscenico artistico gruppi di donne dagli occhi imperscrutabili, fessure schiuse appena, per custodire piccoli segreti, prendono identificazione attraverso una tecnica pittorica che combina colori e forme in una raffinata esecuzione. Le quinte si aprono su un fondo, privo di elementi scenografici, che allude ad un dove da cui i personaggi fanno ritorno.

Un trionfo di simmetrie e di armonie che si fondono con la rappresentazione di una femminilità solare e sognante, leggera e carnale, divertita e divertente. È l'immaginazione la categoria che contiene e concilia il tutto, è l'immaginazione  che sposa artificio e realtà, emozioni e ragione.
